News fresh as snow!
At the beginning of the ski season 2018-19, on the ski slopes of the ski area Bellamonte-Alpe Lusia in Val di Fiemme, the opening of the new Chalet 44, at an altitude of 2000 m, with a panoramic restaurant in a contemporary style, is awaited. At the arrival of the gondola Bellamonte 3.0 in the Morea area, you will immediately be struck by the ample and breath-taking terrace which overlooks the Pale di San Martino, a UNESCO World Heritage site, and the Lagorai chain. This panoramic viewpoint, certainly glamour, offers 600 sq. m. of sunshine and relax, among naturalistic beauties and culinary delicacies. The restaurant Chalet 44 is likely to become a real attraction in the Bellamonte-Alpe Lusia ski area, with its modern and essential lines and wide windows.
Its design is inspired by the contemporary style of the gondola Bellamonte 3.0 departure station and it blends together with the surrounding environment of pines and fir trees thanks to its camo green roof. Inside, old mountain huts wood recreates a comfortable Alpine location.
The menu ranges from traditional cuisine to more sophisticated dishes, as a result of the skilful combination of our best local products. Savoury grilled meat can be enjoyed by the fireplace, combined with an accurate selection of Italian and international wines. The pizzeria and cocktail corner will enhance your experience.
Thanks to the convenient transportation service by snowmobile, Chalet 44 offers the possibility to organize dinners upon reservation and private events.
During this 2018 Christmas holiday, in Val di Fiemme, the new restaurant “Lo Chalet” will be inaugurated in Alpe Cermis at the Forcella di Bombasel (2.170 m a.s.l.). The pleasant dining room will open up its windows overlooking the ski slope Prafiorì. Its position was carefully chosen because of the extraordinary view that includes Cimon To della Trappola, the eastern Dolomites, the Lagorai chain and Pale di San Martino.
The architectural style combines modern and traditional elements, while the presence of wood creates a romantic frame. The architect Giovanni Berti managed to create an intimate and romantic atmosphere through the use of contemporary design. The use of wood and of the colours white, for the fireplace, and light grey for the couverture, let the structure blend with the natural colours of rocks, snow and trees.
This ski lounge will offer a “panoramic” cuisine. The Italian style cuisine, with an eye for local traditions, will expand its horizons to the sea, and therefore, to seafood. Particular care will be paid to the selection of wines, starting from the aperitif.
The Chalet will have its own dedicated ski slope. Together with the restaurant, indeed, the Busabella red ski slope will be inaugurated and 600 meters below it will intersect with the Prafiorì ski slope. The new ski slope will be 40 meters wide and will have a 29% incline. The new ski slope will be accessible from right outside the new Chalet or going down the ski slope Forcella di Bombasel.
From the Rifugio Paion the new restaurant Lo Chalet will be reachable also by snowshoes.
Alpe Cermis will be even more welcoming. Get to Doss Laresi area, at the intermediate station of the cable car (1,280 mt. a.s.l). The amusement park games in Cermislandia snow will introduce some innovations, including sledge and snow tube trails. Let's visit the large and brand new ski school, near Cermislandia.
Doss dei Laresi restyling began last year (2015), when the lounge bar "La Baita Tonda" was built, a lodge made of larch wood and furnished in the "Minimal Alp Chic " style: large glass windows, raw wood, bright furniture whith shades of red and lime green, stylized trees, contemporary art prints on the walls and a panoramic stove right in the middle of the bar. The same contemporary design was chosen to renovate and enlarge the restaurant "Ristorante Baita Dosso Larici". This new horizontal structure, made of larch wood slats and large windows, includes the restaurant, the lounge bar and the arrival station of the cable car, creating a sense of harmony in the surrounding mountain landscape.
During 2016-17 winter season, Olimpia track will be lightened for night skiing on Wednesdays and Fridays (19:30 - 22:30), while the Cermis WiFi connection will be available on all the tracks (also Prafiorì).
A new sledding slope will be part of the Ski Center Latemar, in Val di Fiemme in the Pampeago area: it will be dedicated to children and beginners. The sledding slope, located beside the Bip club playground, is 400 meters long and is reachable by the Latemar chair lift. Sleds can be transported on the chair lift.
Close-by, the Rifugio Zischgalm of Pampeago shows off its new Swiss pine exterior. This spacious mountain hut has renovated its interior creating new spaces. Besides the panoramic terrace and the wide self-service restaurant, in the rustic-style stube (a wood paneling room) one can enjoy South-Tyrolean dishes or delicious pizzas.
During the 2018-19 ski season the snowmaking system will be improved even more.
Meanwhile the Caserina Chalet in Pampeago, reachable by the Agnello chair lift, will offer an unmistakably glamourous look. The new management has renovated the interior design with a hint of rustic style and some touches of contemporary fashion. Every detail of the furniture is inspired by the dolomitic group of Latemar. Relax for a pleasant moment looking at the Dolomites of Latemar, while sitting on furred deck chairs, soft poufs and enveloping beanbag chairs.
The gourmet cuisine pays close attention to its appearance and to the products quality, offering a wide-ranging “Italian style” menu, enriched with genuine local flavours from Val di Fiemme. Start with a platter of speck or local cheese, carne salada carpaccio or focaccia bread with Parma Dop prosciutto. Then, try the homemade pasta (with sausage too), goulash soup, the farmer plate (eggs, potatoes and speck), grilled sausage, pork shank, venison stew and beef entrecote. The Chalet organizes fascinating dinners under the stars, with the possibility to reach the chalet by foot or by snowmobile (tel. +39 342 1019098).
The Chalet Caserina overlooks the Agnello slope of the Ski Center Latemar, that is scattered with art works by worldwide known artists. Indeed, the slope crosses the famous art park RespirArt, one of the highest in the world. Every year skiers have fun taking selfies and group pictures among the art installations emerging from the snow.
The new installations, created in 2018, which can be seen from the Agnello chair lift, are “The witch’s knot” by Mariano Vasselai and “Mediterranean”, a shepherd talking to his animal, by Elio Vanzo (in front of the Rifugio Monte Agnello).
Right before Caserina Chalet, an 8-legged mythological horse “Sleipnir XLVII Latemar” by the Italian-Swedish architect and artist Duilio Forte.
